Good Morning Green Panda Friends and welcome to the final post in our “Back to School” series.  I hope you have enjoyed reading about how to find a part time job, how to save money, how to cook on a budget, and how to get adjusted into your new life in college.  We always love to hear about your personal experiences, so if you have some tips on how to survive the college semester we would love to hear about them.

Today we are helping you try to manage it all during your college semester.  Today we are sharing some time management tips to help you be successful in college, be successful at your job, manage your money and enjoy the time with your friends and family.

Here are 3 time management tips to help you do it all in college:

Make a List and Prioritize Your Tasks. Personally if I try to remember everything that I need to do in a day or throughout the week I will never get everything done.  I make a list of everything that I need to do and then I rewrite the list in order of my personal priorities and in order of the importance of the task.  Which tasks have to be done today and which tasks can wait until tomorrow? It is very helpful to clearly see on a piece of paper what I have to do each day; it also gives me a sense of accomplishment when I see the tasks crossed off my list.

Don’t Try to Do Everything at The Same Time.  Multitasking is a good personal quality to have, but it can also be the kiss of death when you are trying to accomplish several tasks at the same time. Focusing on one task at a time makes sure that each task gets completed and that you don’t get a scattered brain.  I like to focus on and work towards one goal at a time because when I give one goal my full attention I know that it will get done and I know that it will be my best work.

Be Realistic About Your Goals.  There is nothing worse than setting goals and not achieving them. Some people say that if we never have expectations we can never have disappointments, but I don’t think that is true.  I like having goals, I like waking up in the morning and knowing that I am working towards something every single day of my life.  However, I don’t want to be disappointed if I don’t achieve my goals and therefore I try to set ambitions but realistic goals. Working towards too many goals at the same time can lead to disappointment; that’s exactly why we should prioritize our goals and work on one goal at a time to make sure that we accomplish all f our personal goals.

What goals are you currently working towards?
