Good Morning Green Panda readers.  Let me ask you a question, how do you manage your money? Maybe a more important question would be what does your money management style say about you as a person? It is no secret that our money management and our personal financial habits are a direct reflection of our individual personalities. Think about who you are as a person, now think about how you manage your personal finances. What does your personality say about your money?

Are You Messy?

If other aspects of your life are messy then the odds are that your personal finances are also a little bit messy.  This is not a bad thing, its just an unorganized thing.  If you don’t know exactly where everything is then it is very easy to lose things.  If you are messy you may very often find yourself without some of your personal belongings. This exact same philosophy applies to your money.  If you don’t keep track of where you keep your money or how you spend your money then you can very often find yourself without any money.  It is very unlikely that as a person you pick up after yourself but your money is

Are You Organized?

If your clothes are organized in your closet by colour and your clothes are organized in your drawers by season then your money is probably also very organized.  If you plan your outfit, plan your lunch, and you plan all of the things that you need to do each day then the odds are that you also plan your personal budget.  An organized personality applies to all aspects of someone’s life, it applies to their personal space, their daily living, as well as their personal finances.

Are You Spoiled?

If you are used to getting everything that you want in life then you are most likely also used to buying anything that you want.  A spoiled personality is someone who feels that they should have everything and anything that they want without having to work for it.  This type of personality can be very dangerous for your personal finances because it can lead to overspending and impulse purchases.  People who are spoiled always expect to have the best of everything such as housing, personal necessities, and personal entertainment. This can be a very costly personality trait because people who are spoiled do not value money.

Are You Cheap?

Historically being cheap has always been seen as a negative personality attribute, however when it comes to your personal finances being cheap is actually a desirable quality.  If you have a cheap personality it means that you only spend money on the necessities and you never over spend on anything.  People who are cheap are always looking for the best deal, they are known for living on less.  This is absolutely great for your personal finances because the less you spend the more you can save. So the next time that someone calls you cheap don’t be insulted, take it as a compliment.
